醉不上道，國內酒駕肇事少了！根據警政署最新統計，分析今年1月的交通死亡事故原因，酒後駕車首度跌出前3名，下滑至第4名，且比去年同期減少6成以上，創下單月的最大降幅；今年1月交通死亡事故主因前3名依序為：未注意車前狀況、未依規定讓車及違反特定標誌（線）禁制。

政警署統計，今年1月人員當場或24小時內死亡的交通事故共有139件，並造成144人死亡，比去年同期減少60件，死亡人數也減少60人。

進一步分析肇事原因，酒駕更首度跌出前3名，今年1月份酒駕死亡人數9人，比去年同期的23人，降幅超過6成；酒駕取締違規案件9090件、也比去年同期3987件減少快4成。

交通部道安會認為，酒駕下滑主因來自警方的強力執法，加上國內多年持續宣導醉不上道、酒後不開車的關係；警政署則表示，接下來是春酒旺季，警方仍會加強取締酒駕。
