因不願放棄基督教信仰而被判死刑的蘇丹婦女易布拉欣（MeriamYehya Abrahim）已從獄中獲釋。她的律師說，上訴法院推翻了易布拉欣的絞刑判決。

上月剛在獄中產下一女的易布拉欣，上月因拒絕放棄基督教信仰而被蘇丹喀土木的伊斯蘭法庭以叛教為由，將她判處絞刑。這項判決令國際嘩然。

27歲的易布拉欣是由基督徒母親養大，自己也一直信仰基督教。2011年，她嫁予來自南蘇丹的丈夫瓦尼，瓦尼已歸化美國，也是基督徒，但家人告發她叛教。
