復興航空編號B-22816班機失事墜毀在基隆河上，晚間400噸的大型吊車，吊起中後段殘骸後，再將沈在河中間的機頭，拉到岸邊，才將機頭殘骸吊上岸。過程中發現倒吊的機師大體，隨即機頭斷裂，停止吊上岸。

【中央社台北4日電】復興航空墜基隆河空難，軍警消徹夜搜救，在晚間8時吊掛機身和機尾上岸後，栽入河中的機頭也在晚間11時10分吊掛浮出水面。機頭撞擊嚴重，面目全非，現場準備吊掛上岸。
