馬里蘭州巴爾的摩日前爆發大規模示威，許多抗議民眾轉戰金鶯球場附近，因不滿警察執法不當，事情越演越烈，27日金鶯對白襪之戰，也因此延賽。

效力金鶯的「殷仔」陳偉殷稍早在臉書（Facebook）透露，因為巴爾的摩發生很嚴重的衝突，導致停賽：「謝謝大家的關心，我現在也安全的回到家了！」

美國警察因種族歧視發生暴力問題一直存在，當地時間星期六，巴爾的摩發生大規模抗議，民眾們希望為25歲的非裔青年Freddie Gray討回公道。

Gray在12日被警方逮捕受傷，卻未及時治療，導致在一周後昏迷死去，對此巴爾的摩發起抗議活動，事情越演越烈，從市中心蔓延到金鶯球場Camden Yards，不少民眾向警方丟擲垃圾桶、寶特瓶，甚至砸碎警車玻璃。

金鶯稍早表示，與警方協商過後，確定要關閉球場2邊閘門，也推遲今天的比賽。
