美國商會今日宣布任命現職安麗公司董事長的史提夫．溫安洛出任主席，任期一年。美國商會總裁暨執行長湯瑪斯‧唐納修表示，他是一名不斷追求突破的領導者，與他持續合作，將能共同幫助全球各地的就業創造者、企業家與創新家。

溫安洛曾在2001年擔任美國商會主席，任職期間出訪歐洲、拉丁美洲和亞洲等11個國家，與日本前首相小泉純一郎、德國總理施若德及中國總理江澤民皆曾會面商議，致力推動全球貿易自由化。

溫安洛於2002年6月12日卸任主席後，仍持續擔任美國商會董事及美中貿易全國委員會董事職務，並曾於2009年訪台時拜會副總統蕭萬長先生，就台美雙方的貿易自由化議題交換意見。
