【楊逸民／加拿大多倫多報導】王建民第5局被戴維斯(Chris Davis)擊出內野安打，再被石川隆擊出安打丟掉1分，賽後大聯盟紀錄組將戴維斯的安打改為二壘手邦尼法西歐(Emilio Bonifacio)的失誤，因此建仔這分不算責失分，防禦率從賽前的3.14降為2.18。

5局戴維斯擊出二壘滾地球，邦尼法西歐側身接球，但球碰到手套掉了出來，第一時間紀錄是內野安打，不過賽後又改回失誤，讓建仔最近16.2局沒有失分任何自責分，且再失掉這分前，是連續14.1局沒有失分。
