首先： 1 Byte = 8 bits

USB 2.0的理論傳輸速率是480Mbps，約=60 MB/s
所以以光世代的100Mbps來說，速率其實只約12.5MB/s
換個方式講，USB2.0原本就比100M的光世代快4.8倍，那麼換USB3.0完全無作用。

CM1435提供4個SATA2.0界面確裝SATA3.0的硬碟，這點沒什麼好研究，硬碟速度只有70 MB/s左右而己，除非你換用SSD。

所以結論是，你的USB2.0本來就快過網速，換成USB3.0不會變快，而你再怎快最終也會被硬碟卡在70 MB/s，不過台灣並沒有Gb級的網路可以讓我們傷這種腦筋，所以不用換USB3.0

USB3.0不用改裝，只要買介面卡裝上去就可以了。
這個在你買了SATA3.0的SSD時才有可能需要(以外接盒或轉接線接USB3.0)。
