台鐵新竹站前停車格下月起限停30分鐘

新竹市政府交通處今（30）日宣布，為改善台鐵新竹站站前廣場的停車亂象，2月起汽車停車格縮減為7席，並限停30分鐘。

竹市府交通處表示，台鐵新竹站每日進出旅客平均約4萬多人次，除步行及使用公車的旅客之外，尚有臨停接送旅客的需要，但在假日期間，台鐵新竹站站前空間等候接送旅客車輛臨停交織嚴重，除造成站前空間交通秩序混亂外，車流也會回堵至中華路、林森路等週邊道路，造成堵塞。

交通處宣布，新竹市政府為改善站前混亂現象，又兼顧接送及購票的短時間停車需求，將原有採垂直式停放的汽車格位調整為順向平行式，原有站前汽車停車格將由18席調整為7 席，因此，為增加停車周轉率，避免民眾久停，影響交通秩序，自今年2月1日起限停30分鐘，逾時將依規予以拖吊。
