慶祝中華民國雙十國慶，巴拉圭於當地時間26日上午在巴京亞松森大公園舉行千人馬拉松賽，中華民國駐巴拉圭大使劉德立與巴奧委會主席培瑞斯及巴體育部長貝奇共同主持開跑儀式。

參與本次活動的運動選手、馬拉松愛好者、各界友人及僑胞逾千人，身著由使館設計的運動T恤齊聚會場，氣勢壯觀。

賽事結束後進行頒獎，培瑞斯（Camilo Perez）致詞時表示，巴奧委會與中華民國大使館向來互動良好，得與中華民國合辦馬拉松賽以慶祝雙十國慶致感榮幸，盼未來與中華民國持續在體育方面進行合作與交流。

劉德立則感謝巴國各界人士踴躍參與，以此有益身體健康的慢跑運動為中華民國10月國慶系列活動劃上美好句點深具意義，無論得獎與否，均已獲得健身目的，並允明年10月續辦。

貝奇（Victor Pecci）則稱，一個進步國家與其文化、教育及體育的發展息息相關，對駐館致力促進巴國體育蓬勃發展特申謝忱。(中央社)
