《Business Insider》報導，法國失業率創 16 年以來新高紀錄，恐對經濟復甦造成負面影響。

最新公佈的經濟數據顯示，2014 年第四季法國失業率上漲至 10.4%，相當於 290 萬人沒有工作，創 1998 年以來最高紀錄。儘管有越來越多跡象顯示歐洲經濟在德國與西班牙等國家帶動下可望重新上軌道，但法國與義大利等國經濟卻依舊停滯不前。

法國巴黎銀行分析師指出，目前法國有大量人力資源未被充分利用。法國失業人數還在繼續上升之中，且年輕人就業率低，顯示法國就業政策需要改革。不這麼做的話，就算未來法國經濟開始復甦，還是會有大量無業人口。法國總統歐蘭德與總理過去不斷強調打擊高失業是政府的首要工作之一，最新失業率居高不下恐怕讓當局顏面無光。
